Adopted French Bulldogs 2010
The French Bulldog Bus is a French Bulldog Placement Service which focuses not only on rescue placements (our own K-Kids as well as dogs from other rescue groups or private rescuers), but also on breeder placements (older puppies, retirees, and other unique Frenchies). We also provide placement services for owners who, for health, financial, or other reasons, are unable to any longer keep their French Bulldogs and who want to find new homes for their beloved companions without relinquishing them to a rescue or a shelter.
Here are the fortunate French Bulldogs (and a few others…) who found new homes in 2010 after boarding the French Bulldog Bus! If you have adopted one a dog from the Bus, please send us pictures and updates, and we will post them here!
Please be patient as there might be a delay in posting a recently placed dog…

Burrito, 5 months old, Florida
“I took the FBBus in July, 2010!”
Burrito has found his forever home in Florida with his new mom, dad and French Bulldog brother and sister, Dexter and Nanette, who have been running each other ragged waiting for their new little brother to come play. Burrito’s puppy energy fits in perfectly with his new family. Burrito’s new home has a shaded, fenced backyard where he can romp around, and his mom and dad are well-versed in the importance of keeping Frenchies cool in the Florida heat. Mom and dad both work, so Burrito will be spending his days tiring his brother and sister out and his nights cuddled up with his new family (and maybe a Nylabone or two). Anytime mom and dad go out of town, the three Musketeers will get to go to gammy and papa’s house to get the royal granddog treatment.
Burrito’s new home sounds like puppy heaven!

Dobby, 4 years old, Kentucky
“I took the FBBus in June, 2010!”
By the time Dobby’s foster family got his skin and health in shape, they realized that they (in particular their youngest son) had fallen madly in love with him and we thought he was home forever! Little did we know that Dobby had other plans… which he made clear by starting skirmishes with his other canine brothers and sisters. After a year of trying to keep the peace, Dobby’s foster family decided that he would be happiest as an “only dog” and Dobby was once again looking for a new home. It didn’t take long before he was snatched right up! Dobby is now the only dog in his new family, where he still has two teenage human kids to play with, but none of those rascally canine brothers and sisters to compete with for his family’s attention. Dobby’s new mom is a paralegal and can come home during her lunch break to walk him and spoil him silly. Dobby’s got his own fenced yard to play in and is spending nights snuggled up with his new family in bed.
Looks like Dobby knew what was best for him! Congratulations on the new life of luxury, Dobby!

Brooklyn, 18 months old, New York
“I took the FBBus in April, 2010!”
Brooklyn has found her new home only a stone’s throw from the borough she was named for. She now gets to be the only “child” and the center of attention of her new family in her new house – with a securely fenced yard – in Sound Beach, Long Island. Brooklyn’s new mom is a retail manager and dad is the head engineer for a manufacturing firm. Both have flexible hours so that Brooklyn will always have lots of attention. Brooklyn gets a big fluffy bed to sleep in and when mom and dad travel, Brooklyn will be staying with Grandma.
Sounds like a great life to us, Brooklyn!

Taury, 7 years old, Oklahoma
“I took the FBBus in April, 2010!”
Taury packed his bags and climbed aboard his own private RV to go to his new home in Ohio. There he will get to live out his baseball fantasy with his new dad who is the mascot for the Cleveland Indians. Taury’s family also includes his mom, a police officer, 5 year old son, Bowen, 3 year old daughter, Parker – and Cleo, the family’s 10 year old cat.
Taury is one lucky dog that gets to join the family in the RV when they travel, he also gets to accompany dad to work and play in the park that is right across the street from home. Looks like Taury and his family hit a grand slam with each other!

Vito, 6 years old, North Carolina
“I took the FBBus in March, 2010!”
Vito was adopted by a wonderful couple in Georgia, who were familiar with the Frenchie breed and were ready to find a companion for Wheezy, their 7 year old Boston Terrier. It’s hard to say more than the pictures do, but we think it’s fair to report that Vito is flourishing in his new home, as we knew he would. Not only is he racing around on his “wheels,” but his new mom and dad are encouraging him to rediscover his hind legs, to great improvement. Vito has a dog walker during the day, and even he’s gotten in on the act by encouraging Vito to try to get from here to there without his wheels. His family tells us that Vito’s silliness charms everyone who meets him and it seems like he’s always been a part of their family. We’re so happy for Vito and his new family and hope that their story will encourage everyone to consider adopting one of our special needs Frenchies.
Take a look at Vito and his new sister Wheezer and his wonderful new life!
Sara-Leigh, 7 years old, Florida
“I took the FBBus in March, 2010!”
Sara-Leigh takes the bus! It’s been a long journey for our Sara-Leigh, but she finally found herself riding the bus to her new home in Wake Forest, North Carolina, where she will be queen of the castle. Sara-Leigh is so happy that her new dad, who is a network technician, can work from home. After working all day, she likes nothing more than to take walks around the neighborhood to meet all the neighbors and keep an eye on her new kingdom.
Long live the queen!

Paige, 9 years old, Illinois
“I took the FBBus in February, 2010!”
Paige made the move from Chicago to her new home in Houston, Texas. She shares her new mom, a field services representative, with 9 year Boxer, Kiera. Paige loves that her new mom has flexible hours so that Paige and Kiera are never left alone too long, and she loves her new fenced in back yard where she will have lots of room to play. Paige is looking forward to snuggling up with mom and Boxer Kiera at the end of a busy day! Keira has been telling Paige about those famous Texas barbeques, and Paige is looking forward to her first one!
Happy partying, Paige!

Reenie, 3 years old, Florida
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Reenie found her very own castle in Georgia with her new mom, Alisha. She is sharing her home with a pair of very spoiled cats, Raiu and Geisha, and we think they will all get along purrrrfectly.
Reenie’s new mom is very familiar with brachycephalic dogs from her previous experience as a vet tech. Mom now has the pleasure of owning her own business and can spend a great deal of quality time with Reenie at home and on the road. Reenie is very happy with her new mom. because she knows she has a big heart and is an active volunteer with various animal rescues. And also because she bought Reenie a lovely new wardrobe, befitting a little Frenchie princess. In pink, of course!

Busby, 8 years old, Maryland
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Well, Busby didn’t go far from the moment he came to the FBVillage. As a matter of fact, he is staying with the first woman he set his eyes on… FBVillage Graduate, Bea, who had already been adopted by his foster mom – that’s her tucked right in behind him in the picture. He’s become a permanent member of the family and shares his new digs with AmStaff, Niki, French Bulldogs, Bea, Smitty, Fern, and Ham, and cats, Meowmi and Jack, and of course, Kristen and Michael, his new owners. Since Kristen is an active volunteer with both the FBVillage and FBRN, Busby will never lack for new faces! Busby is so happy to have his new mom and dad continue to look after him and to make restoring his health a primary concern!

Pammy, 3 years old, Oklahoma
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Pammy, now renamed Jenny, has found her new home with another FBVillage graduate, Forrest in Nebraska. After seeing how much Forrest enjoyed his many play dates, his owners knew that something was missing from their lives (and Forrest’s too)… Forrest longed for a companion at home. Mom and dad felt so blessed with Forrest, they contacted FBVillage again for another companion. On Jenny’s trip to her new home, we are happy to report that Forrest actually tried to coax Jenny to play with him and both dogs were sharing a blanket!

Dorie, 18 months old, Oklahoma
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
When we asked Dorie if she would like to make her permanent home in San Franscico, California, we knew by the look on Dorie’s face that her answer was YES! Dorie was delighted to meet her new sister, fourteen month old French Bulldog Stella and looks forward to enjoying the tasty meals of Orijen and organic chicken and vegetables that mom and dad are going to cook up for her. Dorie is sure to work up an appetite after all her adventures at the local dog parks. She will have plenty of toys, a yard to run in, a playmate, and best of all… the love and affection of her new family!

Lola, 3 years old, New York
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Lola..la..la..la…la…Lola. Lola is singing her way to PA to join her new family that consists of Alicia, who has previous experience with French Bulldogs and Pugs – a “seasoned smush-face dog owner” – and Phil and their three boys in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lola will be the only frog in residence, unless you count the two real frogs and Beta fish who already occupy the fish tank in her new home. Lola will have her choice of snuggle spots with one of the boys, mom and dad, or in her very own bed, and can look forward to family vacations on the Outer Banks, North Carolina, where the family makes sure to rent a house that allows dogs!
Lucy, 6 years old, Tennessee
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Lucy has found a home in Massachusetts, where she is sure to get plenty of attention from her new family – mom, Lauren, and her boyfriend, three teenagers and a Frenchie playmate named Turbo. Lucy will spend her summer days lounging in her new fenced yard or visiting relatives of the human kind. For those hot days, there’s air conditioning, and for those chilly nights, there’s plenty of room for Lucy on the bed. Lucy’s new mom only works 26 hours a week so she will have plenty of time to spend with Lucy. Lucy says, paws up to her new home!
Bella, 3 years old, South Carolina
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Bella has come a long way from the completely bald little stray French Bulldog that was picked up in August by Animal Control in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her foster home fell in love with the little waif, and now she is a permanent member of the family in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She shares her forever home with two Boston terriers, Gracie and Bosley and French Bulldog Bugsy. She has completely recovered from her severe case of mange, and she enjoys a high quality grain free diet to help keep her immune system strong. She loves to cuddle and walk on the beach and has truly blossomed into the belle of the ball in her new forever home!

Chocolate, 2 years old, Missouri
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Chocsy is moving to the warm and sunny climate of San Diego, California to join her new mom, Heather, a small animal veterinarian. Chocsy and Bobbi, Heather’s Border Collie, get to go to work with mom at have the utmost care, and on those days when Chocsy doesn’t go to the clinic, she gets to play with her Frenchie neighbor. At night, we know she will be cuddled up with mom. What more could a little French Bulldog princess ask for?

Mikey, 11 months old, California
“I took the FBBus in January, 2010!”
Mikey has hitched a ride to beautiful Simi Valley, California. We are pleased that Mikey’s new owners, Jason and Heather, have previous bulldog experience and we know Miley will be well cared for. Mikey’s new dad will be home early in the day from work to play with Mikey, and at night, he can choose whether to sleep with mom and dad or in his own bed (we know where he’ll end up…). Mikey can also look forward to being spoiled by his new grandparents, who get to babysit when mom and dad go on vacation. We know that Mikey can help heal the hurt left by the death of his owners’ previous bully.

Yea for Bitsy! I know the family she went to and there is not better home for her. Mimi is her sister and is very loved and cared for. I can’t wait to meet Bitsy when it warms up at one of our meet-ups!
