Brooklyn Comes to New York State!
December 21, 2009 – 8:03 pm | 21 Comments

Little Brooklyn had a troublesome habit of escaping from her home in Ottawa, Ontario and hightailing it through the city streets. Several times, she made her way into the hands of Ottawa animal control, who took her to the Ottawa Municipal Animal Shelter where municipal law required that she be held for three days prior to being surrendered for placement. Each time, her owners came to bail out the little wanderer and bring her home. And then, one day, they didn’t come.

Road Trip! plus a 2009 Year End Summary…

See the little guy in the picture? His name is Stout, he is seven or eight years old, and when he walks, he sometimes tips over, but he gets right up again! He was sitting patiently at the Animal Harbor in Belvidere, a no-kill animal shelter operated by the Franklin County Humane Society, [...]

Holiday Greetings from the FBVillage K-Kids!

The holiday season is upon us, and while our little Frenchtons Duke and Bailey were dragged off against their will to sit on Santa’s lap for the inevitable Christmas picture, the rest of our little elves (French Bulldogs) were busy putting together a Christmas video for all of their very good friends out there in [...]

Who Doesn’t Like Sara-Leigh?

It remains an absolute mystery to all of us here at the FBVillage that no one has snapped up our sweet little slice of Frenchie pound cake, Sara-Leigh in Nokomis, Florida. She came all the way to Massachusetts this past October with her foster mom to attend the 2009 French Bulldog Club of America [...]

A Fish Named Boogie

Boogie
When Boogie was turned over by his owner to a private rescuer in California, he was in sorry shape. This friendly, active little dog could not use his back legs and had no control of his bladder or bowels. This was Boogie’s second incidence of losing the use of his back legs - [...]

Tazz - A Bug Left Behind…

Tazz
When a call came in from a home nurse about an elderly woman going into a nursing home and unable to take her beloved little eighteen month old French Bulldog with her, The French Bulldog Village jumped into action. One of our dedicated volunteer foster moms made the 7 hour round trip to fetch this [...]

Bitsy - The Frenchie That Couldn’t Cry

Bitsy
We don’t know how two little middle aged French Bulldogs found themselves at the Madison County Pet Shelter in Huntsville, Arkansas; perhaps it was because their profitable breeding days were over. Perhaps in some ironic way it was a blessing she could scarcely see the place she was taken to. Bitsy couldn’t cry - [...]

LouLou - Still Stepping Out After All These Years!

LouLou

Update: 09/22/2009
LouLou has had a very busy couple of weeks. First, she went to see a board certified veterinary surgeon to try to determine the cause of the constant drip of thick mucous from her left nostril. The word “cancer” was tossed around, to her foster mom’s great alarm, along with the [...]

The WebDog adds a picture gallery and introduces some new faces!

Cletus the WebDog is a very wise French Bulldog. While the Webmistress was outside, searching behind the bushes for her newest foster dog, he was perched on the office chair in front of the computer, typing with his tiny toes, and adding this slideshow of ALL our K-Kids for you to enjoy!
