Every now and again, we really have to dig down deep into our hearts to decide whether a life is worth saving. It’s not all that hard a decision to make when you’re willing to put your common sense aside and just look at that little face looking back at you. At least it wasn’t a difficult decision for our wonderful volunteer, Pam Mayes, When we told her about our little French Bulldog puppy with legs that didn’t seem to work at all, Pam didn’t even hesitate. She immediately agreed to take her in.
The mission of the Karen Krings Memorial Fund and of the French Bulldog Village is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome French Bulldogs and French Bulldog mixes, to provide financial assistance and support services to rescue groups and private rescuers engaged in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming French Bulldogs and French Bulldog mixes, and to promote programs that advance knowledge about and the responsible acquisition and ownership of the French Bulldog breed.

The Featured Frenchies for July 2010 are Cocoa, Chelsea, Cleo and Winston!
(From left to right: Cocoa 4 yrs, Chelsea (Cocoa's littermate) 4 yrs, Cleo 3 yrs and Winston 4 yrs)
We have a family of six - two humans and four Frenchies. Cocoa, Chelsea and Winston have disc disease and Cleo has hip dysplasia, but despite their
health issues, we are the ones that are fortunate that they allow us to be part of their lives. We live in Nyack, NY, just moved here from NYC but the
fab four soon felt like they were home because on my street there are three other Frenchies!! We have many, many play dates.
